Sinmara are an icelandic black metal band from Reykjavik. Their new release "Hvísl Stjarnanna", which roughly translates to "whispering stars", holds to true to the basic formula of icelandic black metal; unrelenting emotion and atmospheric textures. Melodic and layered guitar passages are pervasive throughout the album, oftentimes featuring tremolo picked leads over the underlying sustained chords. These multifaceted sounds are presented organically and will have you humming along all day! Great album.
